The Countdown Is On: Our First Craft Show is Almost Here!

We’re officially less than a month away from our very first craft show—and wow, it’s starting to feel real. Like, “there are product piles in every room” real. Stitch and Timber Co. has been a dream in the making for a while now, and getting the chance to share our creations in person for the first time feels both exciting and... mildly terrifying (in the best way).

We’ve been bouncing between bursts of productivity, accidental naps, and what can only be described as Olympic-level procrastination. But hey—sometimes the best ideas happen mid-nap, right? Here’s a peek at how things are going behind the scenes as we prep for showtime:

What We’re Prepping

We’re building up inventory of our favorites—banners, reclaimed wood bracelets, Everglow pine trees, CartBuddy (just to name a few!)—along with some brand-new surprises we’re saving just for the show. We’re also playing around with different display setups to make sure everything feels like us—cozy, simple, and a little bit charming.

There will be bundles. There will be tags. There will probably be miscellaneous random threads stuck to the dogs again (sorry, Hobie and Sammy).

The Less Glamorous Checklist

Now let’s talk about the other side of craft show prep—the logistical stuff that makes your brain hurt a little but has to get done. We’re currently juggling:

  • Ordering last-minute supplies we definitely thought we already had

  • Finalizing signage and pricing (is it too late to learn calligraphy?)

  • Setting up our Square reader and praying it works on show day

  • Making a checklist so we don’t forget things like scissors, tape, or our sanity

  • Oh—and getting insurance, because apparently that’s a thing we need now too 🙃

It’s a lot, but we’re checking things off one by one… in between naps.

Feeling All the Feels

This being our first show, we’re in a whirlwind of emotions. We’re nervous—What if we forget something major? What if we run out of products?! What if nobody comes to our booth??

But mostly, we’re just really excited. Excited to finally meet people face-to-face, to chat about what we make and why we love making it. We’ve been pouring our hearts into this little business, and sharing it in real life feels like a big deal (because it is!).

Also: if you catch us stress-eating granola bars, gummy worms, or whatever’s within arm’s reach behind the booth—just pretend you didn’t. We’re fine. Totally fine. 😅

Lessons (and Crying) Along the Way

We’ve already learned so much, like:

  • You can, in fact, get oddly excited about ordering price tags.

  • Booth mockups in your living room will result in glitter, sawdust, and thread in places you didn’t know possible.

  • Procrastination is a surprisingly effective creative strategy.

  • People are seriously kind—thank you to everyone who’s offered advice, encouragement, or just told us, “You’ve got this.”

Come Say Hi!

If you’re local (or want to make a little weekend trip!), we’d love to see you there. Bring your mom, your best friend, your favorite coffee order—we’ll be there with bells on.

🗓 Date: Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11th
📍 Location: Denville Farmers’ Market, Denville, NJ
Time: 8am – 1pm

We’ll have show exclusives, special deals, giveaways, and lots of handmade goodness waiting for you. Come say hi and maybe take home your new favorite thing.

Thanks for being part of this ride with us. This craft show is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us. Now back to sewing, sanding, stress-snacking, and definitely not adding more things to our “still need to order” list...
